Georges History- 

Georges Restaurant was known as Harry B's the original building consisted of a bar area with a small kitchen in the back. It began in 1930 as Harry B's name after owner Harry Urmeister. Harry was a founding member of the Nose Brothers organization, a long-standing Baylor tradition. He started a strong relationship with Baylor athletics, pairing them together for all these years. In 1966, George Betros bought Harry B's 1966 and changed the name to Georges. It was at. This time, the most famous drink, the "Big O," received its name. A waitress by the name of Lucille Brown shortened it to Big O, and it became one of their most popular drinks. In 1993, Sammy took over the restaurant, and he and his family took the little bar out in 1933 and expanded it into a huge restaurant that serves a variety of foods and drinks. In 1966, the Baylor Zone Party was created as a large "Party Zone" for game fans at McLane Stadium with the best food and coldest beverages. In 2010, the second location opened in Hewitt, TX. 



George's second restaurant opened in 2010. 

Sammy Citrano's son, Kyle Citrano, manages this location. 


Georges is known for their amazing food and drinks. Georges transformed from a small local gathering place to a restaurant, blending together a sports bar atmosphere with family dining, and has established its long-standing reputation within the community. Their specialty item is their "Crazy Wings," a bacon-wrapped chicken and jalapeno delight. Next time you're in Waco, make sure to stop by and try their amazing food.
