Poppa Rollos Pizza
Roland Duty worked at a small pizza restaurant called Pepe's Pizza in 1964 as a student at Baylor University. In 1969, he purchased two restaurants while attending Baylor University part-time. Located at Baylor University, he changed the name to Papa Rollo Pizza. In 1979, the Triangle shopping center was torn down therefore, Poppa Rollos Pizza moved to Valley Mills and is still located there today. The restaurant can seat more than 500 guests. His son Justin Duty Roland's son operates a new Poppa Rollos Pizza location in Hewitt that opened in May of 2015. Committed to the same principles for years, the quality and atmosphere remain the same.
The Duty Family continues to serve others in the Waco area, always making a true impact on others Roland Duty says, " If your job is work, something needs to change". He explains that that is the sole reason he was interested in the restaurant business, that he has never worked, and he enjoys every bit of it. As those values were passed down to his son Justin, he loves working in the restaurant industry and giving back to others.
