Revival, located on Elm Avenue in Waco, TC, is a local women-owned restaurant that serves many dishes, such as salads, sandwiches, and burgers. They also have beer and wine to support local breweries and wineries. Their concept is simple. Greet people with kindness, serve great food, and have a place for people to gather throughout the community. Most of their ingredients are sourced from right here in Texas. 
This restaurant was a former church, the Waco Community Baptist Church, that had been vacant for numerous years. It needed lots of work, but they kept the old brick walls to show the building's beautiful nature. Their open rafters resemble an inverted ship hull, large tin ceiling tiles, and beautiful brick walls. They even incorporated wood into the dining tables. 

Their menu has many Bible references, such as the 8th Day, Old Testament, Prodigal Son, Weight of Glory, and many others. Their values are held through faith and continue to impact the community through great food and a place of gathering for all.

This amazing is a main attraction to many Baylor Students. Faith and Food are their roots. I highly recommend this restaurant and would love for you to get a taste of their fresh, locally sourced foods.

Health Camp   A Waco iconic restaurant established in 1949   Health Camp is a major staple in Waco's history. The Health Camp restaurant was established in 1949 by Jack Schaevitz, who built the mobile canteen to provide ice cream and burgers to military personnel. This canteen prompted Jack to open a restaurant on the iconic Waco Circle in 1949. Health Camp has thoughtfully crafted burgers made with the finest ingredients. They also offer homemade frozen custard and ice cream prepared in-house daily. The term "Health Camp" was stamped on the eggs that Jack's dad used to sell at his dairy in Youngstown, Ohio. The simple design replicating the first model of "McDonald's" with a walk-up window and a small kitchen slowly grew into an eating spot for many local Wacoans and a stopping point for travelers between Dallas and Austin.
